Your "Rules To Live By" - (IMPORTANT!)



 
Good morning!
 
I can't remember where I read this, I think it was probably in one of the business newsletters I subscribe to, but the author talked about "being the type of person you want to be". 

It got me thinking because I think most people THINK they know the type of person they want to be and BELIEVE they are that person (even if only most of the time)... ..

But are they really?

Have you ever actually sat down and thought about the EXACT person you want to be? Have you have written down the qualities you want to have? How you want outside people to see you? How you want to see yourself?

Have you written out "Rules To Live By" that you actually follow, that make the decision making process a lot easier because you have a list of "Rules To Live By"?

I know I haven't.  But today I'm going to sit down and take some time to lay it all out.

And you should too. Maybe not today, but schedule some time to sit down and really think about "Who You Want To Be", and the kind of life you want to live.

Make a list of "Rules To Live By" so that when you're faced with a tough decision, you can look back at this list and decide if it falls in line with the person you want to be or not.
So when you go out to eat and someone says, "Would you like this piece of quadruple chocolate triple peanut butter extra whipped cream fudge brownie?" you can see where that falls into your "Rules To Live By" and confidently sa"No thanks. I'll pass." (or "ABSOLUTELY!"... depending on your Rules ;) )
